Lash Care
- Start by gently removing excess glue off the lash band. This must be done first.
- Using an oil free makeup remover liquid (baby shampoo works well too since it is gentle for the eyes) and lukewarm water. Mix 3 parts lukewarm water with 1 part of cleaning liquid you choose. The amount you use depends on how many lashes you are cleaning. *A little alcohol will disinfect however, use at your own risk.
Example - 3 tbsp warm water + 1 tbsp cleaning solution
- Mix your solution well and put lashes in, let them soak completely covered. The more built up product on the lash hair the longer you should let them sit. Typically 3-4 minutes for a mild cleaning Check occasionally to see how they are coming alone.
- Once the lash appears clear of product, or loose enough to remove, use a mascara wand to gently and carefully brush them out For this step start at the tip of the lash hairs and work up towards the band until lash hairs are clean. For a deeper clean (do not use mascara wand if you have chunks of glue, or excessive build up on the lash) STOP HERE go to STEP 5. Rinse them throughly under clean lukewarm water. Carefully brush them again with a clean mascara wand, then lay them to dry on a paper towel.
- With a damp cotton pad, cotton ball, or q-tip, gently clean any extra build up off the lash. Always work in the direction the lash naturally goes. Do not roughly brush through hairs. Do not over manipulate the lash hairs in a direction they do not go - this can cause shedding and change the density as well as look of the lash. Add the lash back to water mixture and repeat STEP 4 as needed.
The band may lose shape during the cleaning process, it’s fixable. Once lashes are completely dry add a drop of glue to each end of the lash band and place them on a lash tray to retain shape.
A mascara wand comes with all lashes.
